So it’s been a long time since I have been here. This is my REALLY rough cut of the book trailer for Pride, Prejudice and Zombies.
Mmmmm…zombie.
I did some quick storyboards for my short book trailers and did a quick character design of a zombie. I spent most of this week trying to finalize my illustration style and how I wanted to animate it. I’m leaning toward a simple animation style and style that is composed of simple vector drawings/shapes.

I like how this is a combo of real film and cut out stop animation. I’m leaning toward this for my visuals of the teaser.
This is a great music video by Three-Legged Legs. This is a song off of NASA’s new album and I think they did a phenomenal job. Really like teh illustration style and simplicity of the animations.

Last week I was working on my final project and did not like the overall concept as much as I did when I presented it two weeks ago. I have switched projects and instead of doing a deconstruct/reconstruct, I have decided to go forth and pursue the book teaser trailer.
The book I chose is a new adaptation of Jane Austin’s Pride and Prejudice classic, rewritten and titled Pride, Prejudice and Zombies. The difference between the two is zombie version, well, includes zombies mixed in with its love story. I have started to read it and have a few ideas of how I want to go about composing a teaser for it. I have decided that I would read a few more chapters before working out a proper storyboard just to have a better feel of what the book is about. I’ve only skimmed the surface (3 very short chapters)…

Final. Forgot to post yesterday.
Tweaked some small things but there are more things I would like to change. I composed an introduction that helps initiate the story behind Dark Horse.
Most significant change is the addition of sound.
I’ve come up with a title for my movie. There are still a few things I need to change here and there, but otherwise, visually, I think I’m done. This is my roughcut. I’ve changed a few things since I’ve posted this.
